Marquicia Pierce, PhD in Molecular Physiology & Biophysics, Vanderbilt University

Marquicia Pierce is an adjunct professor of Biology at Calvin College and a program manager for a medical technology company.  She obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Biology at Purdue University, and a PhD in Molecular Physiology and Biophysics at Vanderbilt University. She has published on the neurobehavioral effects of Vitamin C and E deficiency and on the characterization of the regulation of Vitamin C transport in neurons. She is passionate about communicating science in multidisciplinary settings to promote meaningful conversations across professions. She is active in her faith community in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
